Raised in Central Ohio, I graduated from Ohio State University with an Industrial and Systems Engineering degree. I began my career with Anheuser Busch in St. Louis, MO. My work relocation moved me to the Heartland of America, and I have lived in the Kansas City area for 36 years.
My early work experience was building systems for better process flow, which matches my team’s vision at First State Bank–to offer “wow” service.

My wife Gail and I have four boys: Zach (and daughter-in-law Megan), Travis (and daughter-in-law Victoria), Brett (and daughter-in-law Angie, granddaughter Lili and grandson Henry), and Adam. We also have two four-legged daughters, Bella and Neely.
